Elmendorf Tearing Strength Tester

This machine is designed for determining the tearing resistance of the paperboards, and is also applicable to determining the tearing resistance of the corrugating medium. Based on the energy conservation rule, the gravity center of the sector is raised to a given height. The sector is then released to tear the notched specimen apart. The force to tear the specimen can be read from the value indicated by the point on the dial.
